Như tuôn lá đổ về rừng
như bàn tay mẹ đón mừng con thơ
Như hồng nõn má măng tơ
thơm thơm cháu ngoại hôn bà sớm mai
Như non cao tiếp biển dài
bờ xa bãi rộng, trăng cài núi xanh
Như em còn đợi chờ anh
như con chim hót trên cành nặng sương
Như muôn thác lũ về nguồn
như tìm giếng nhỏ còn tuôn mạch dài
Như buồm căng gió ra khơi
như cây trái mới đâm chồi lộc non
Như câu lục bát vuông tròn
như ngôn ngữ mẹ đẹp nguồn ca dao
Bỗng dưng, trời đổ mưa rào
cho con lộ nhỏ trôi vào ruộng xinh
Bỗng dưng, trời rạng bình minh
bỗng dưng hy vọng, cho mình thắm tươi.

Like the pouring of leaves falling back to forest
like mother happy embracing her babies
Like the shiny and pink cheeks flush on yound faces
sweet scents of morning grandchild kissing mother 's mom
Like tall mountains connecting to long seas
distant beaches, vast bays, a moon hanging by green peaks
Like a maiden still waiting for her man
like a song-bird twittering on a dew-laden branch
Like thousands of torrential waterfalls at their sources
lie the small well that's our heart, pouring out life blood
Like a wind-blown full sail heading out to sea
like new young shoots poking out of new fruit trees
Like the square and round shapes of poetry six-eight
like mother's language that's made folk songs great
Out of nowhere, it poured a shower
floating the small dirt road into the field down yonder
All of a sudden, It broke into dawn
Sudden new hope made me so fresh and young
